60th Anniversary and Father’s Day Weekend

60 Glorious Years with a Father’s Day Celebration in Loving Memory of our Founder!!

This summer the railway will celebrate 60 years of creating family memories aboard the Audley End Miniature Railway. Over Father’s Day weekend, the railway will welcome visitors to commemorate the occasion and fantastic Father’s and Grandfathers visit for FREE!

Lord Braybrooke began the railway in 1964 due to his passion for steam trains.  He opened the miniature railway to the public to provide entertainment for visitors to Audley End House next door, which is now run by English Heritage. The past 60 years has seen the Woodland develop its offering from picnics under the trees and spotting teddy bears in the woods from the train to adding seasonal wonder along with fairies and elves to entertain children of all ages.

Included in your ticket:

• A train ride
• You can visit our fairy & elf’s in their woodland homes, and marvel at the world around us in the sensory nature corner
• Little ones can let off steam at our adventure playground
• Our woodland cafe has hot and cold food available, and let us know if you have a food allergy or intolerance, and we will be able to help
• Summer Games on the Picnic Field
• Live Music (Sunday 16th only)

Across Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th of June, guests can enjoy a ride on a classic Carousel. This is an additional charge which can be paid by cash or card.
