Ho Ho Ho! It’s Father Christmas here!
Are you looking for the perfect Christmas family fun day out with the kids, filled with lights, children’s activities and unforgettable memories? Well, I am here to tell you how excited I am to be back at Audley End Enchanted Railway, located between Cambridge and Bishop’s Stortford, for their Christmas Special 2025. I can’t wait to see all of your festive faces, and I have been writing my list and checking it twice and can see how everyone has been nice!
The elves have been working hard preparing all the presents, although the toy-o-matic 10,000 toy making machine seems to be a bit problematic… but I’m sure my trusty elves will fix it, but they might need your help!
This perfect Christmas family day out in North Essex, which includes a 35-minute train ride through enchanting woodland, where you will discover the beautifully decorated festive-themed shelters which the elves have put together. This is perfect for children of all ages, there is something for everyone, big and small!
But there is so much more to do than just visiting me on the train!
What’s included within your Audley End Enchanted Railway Christmas Special ticket?
- Join Captain Cumulus at the interactive Stage Show and learn how to be the best reindeer pilot.
- Visit the craft lodge to make reindeer food, which you can sprinkle in the garden at home for the reindeer on Christmas Eve.
- Join Cedar the Elf and write a letter to Father Christmas, which you are then able to post at our postal office.
- Stroll through the Fulfen Forest to experience Forestlight, where the trees are lit with twinkling lights and the magical woodland is transformed into a winter wonderland! This is most effective after 4pm.
- If you don’t want to hop on the train and meet Father Christmas, or do our festive activities, you can purchase tickets to Forestlight here to explore the lights in our Fulfen Forest.
- Let off some steam at the playground, which is placed next to the cafe and picnic tent.
- Discover how our fairies and elves have decorated their magical homes for Christmas in the Fairy & Elf Walk.
For an extra treat, and small additional charge, why not toast marshmallows around the cosy firepit.
Trying to visit us after school?
We welcome guests after they’ve been to school for a festive weekday treat. You need about 2.5/3 hours to enjoy all of the activities, so if you can get here by 4pm – you will have plenty of time before we close at 8pm.
Want to arrive before your train time? No problem!
If you would like to get here before your train ride, then no problem at all! You can do the other activities before your train ride and then hop aboard to meet me, Father Christmas, Mother Christmas and the elves.
