Welcome to Little Acorn Village
We are thrilled to introduce our brand-new Little Acorn Village, a magical role-play space designed especially for curious little minds.
Nestled in our outdoor setting, Little Acorn Village is made up of charming wooden houses crafted as a little village. Each one has its own special theme, inviting children to step into a world of imagination and discovery.
We welcomed Bell Day Nursery in Saffron Walden who brought along 50 children aged between 3-4 for our official opening! These little adventurers had a chance to see what our brand-new role play houses were like.
Inside the village, they found:
🎵 The Music House – where little ones can imagine a world of music and have a go on some of the built in instruments.
☕ The Café – perfect for serving up pretend treats and practising social skills.
🪵 The Wood Workshop – inspiring hands-on tools.
🏥 The Hospital – encouraging empathy, care, and understanding through role play.
📚 The School – where little teachers and learners can swap roles and build confidence.
Every space has been thoughtfully designed to encourage imaginative play, collaboration, and confidence building. We worked with Artisan Structures to create the perfect little houses, made with wood and full of creativity and imagination.
Role play is such a powerful tool for early development, helping children develop communication skills, emotional understanding, creativity, and independence. We were proud to work alongside psychologist Dr Sara Barker, from Cambridge University who shared her expertise on what truly matters when it comes to children’s learning and development. In her review she talked about the importance of little ones being able to have an experience and share that with their grown up. We’ve created a space that nurtures not just play, but meaningful growth. Tested and approved by little ones.
Little Acorn Village will be available free of charge for all of our customers throughout the year.
